On July 3, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss the preparation for the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026.
In which, focusing on discussing the plan to organize durian auctions - an activity expected to contribute to brand promotion and enhance the value of local agricultural products.
At the meeting, representatives of Krong Pac Commune People's Committee reported on the plan to organize the durian auction.

Speaking to direct, Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that auction activities must aim to elevate the Dak Lak durian brand. Thereby, creating a spreading effect for products to expand domestic and foreign markets.
Once organized, it must be successful. The goal is not only an auction but also to increase the value of Dak Lak durian - helping products receive more attention from the market after the festival," said Mr. Dao My.
According to Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Dao My, the organization work must be prepared carefully, professionally, publicly, and transparently.
Products put up for auction must ensure quality, have clear origins, full planting area codes and be appraised by competent authorities before participation.

Mr. Dao My requested that absolutely no errors should occur during the organization process, because any incident could affect the reputation of the Dak Lak durian brand as well as Vietnamese agricultural products.
Mr. Dao My also affirmed that the development of the festival organization project is carried out methodically to serve commercial goals, improve the value of local agricultural products, not doing it in a formalistic way.
In addition, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Dao My proposed to choose a timing suitable for the harvest season, and at the same time attract domestic and foreign businesses and investors to participate to improve the value and spread of the auction.

The festival has the theme "Dak Lak Durian - Connecting to reach far", expected to take place from August 15 to September 2.
The latest point is that the festival has officially been elevated to provincial-level scale; the festival space has been expanded in Tuy Hoa ward and communes in the planting area throughout the province.
