Ho Chi Minh City - Students admitted to grade 10 in the 2026-2027 school year need to carry out online enrollment confirmation at https://ts10. hcm. edu. vn.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, 10th grade admitted students must confirm online enrollment before 5:00 PM on July 15th, and complete enrollment procedures directly at the admitted school.

In case parents and students do not confirm or have confirmed online but do not complete enrollment procedures on time, candidates will be removed from the list of admitted students.

The Department of Education and Training notes that each student is only admitted to one aspiration; admitted to which school, enrollment is carried out at that school. The Department does not resolve cases of requesting aspiration change after the enrollment results have been announced.

Regarding the supplementary enrollment plan, the Department of Education and Training said that it will base on the remaining quota after students complete their actual enrollment. Based on reports from public high schools on the number of students who did not submit applications and the need for supplementary enrollment, the Department will consider organizing supplementary enrollment and issue guidance documents.

The supplementary admission category applies to students who have participated in the 10th grade public school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year but have not been admitted to any registered aspirations.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that currently there are some students who have been admitted according to nguyện vọng 2 or 3 but are not really satisfied with the results, thereby arising a psychology of waiting for the supplementary enrollment to have more desired opportunities to enter the school.

Mr. Phong emphasized that this is a misunderstanding of regulations and potentially risky.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, admitted students need to complete the confirmation and enrollment on time to ensure their rights and avoid losing opportunities to study at the allocated school.

This year, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City takes place in two days, June 1 and 2, with more than 151,000 candidates participating. This is the first year the exam has been organized after Ho Chi Minh City expanded its administrative boundaries on the basis of merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

The 10th grade admission score is usually calculated by the total score of three subjects Literature, Mathematics and English along with priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate exam regulations and have no exam papers with a score of 0.

Diversifying high school education types

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, in addition to the public high school system, Ho Chi Minh City focuses on developing a variety of types of education to meet the rich learning needs of students and people, including:

Vocational Education - Continuing Education centers implement the General Education Program with more than 16,226 targets. Non-public high schools (private) with 25,574 10th grade enrollment targets.

The above types are all managed strictly and systematically, ensuring the quality of education and meeting the diverse needs of learners.

Thus, calculating all types, the total target for high school entrance this year reached 97.34% compared to the number of students completing secondary school, meeting the city's strategic education target by 2030 to reach a rate of 95% of high school graduates and equivalents.
