On the evening of June 30, a clip appeared on social networks recording the scene of a tourist reflecting on buying durian in the area in front of the night market in An Hai ward, Da Nang city. According to the content of the clip, the customer said that the durian only weighed about 1.5 - 1.7kg, but when the seller weighed and calculated the price, it was 4kg.
After that, tourists weighed again and found that the actual weight was much lower than the number given by the seller. During the exchange, the durian seller did not admit the wrong weighing, and at the same time had a harsh attitude and inappropriate words, causing many witnesses to be upset.

The clip was quickly shared on social networks, attracting much attention. Many comments said that if the incident is true as reflected, it will not only affect tourists' rights but also negatively impact the image of the tourism and service business environment in Da Nang.
Immediately after receiving the information, An Hai Ward Police invited the man selling durian in the clip to the headquarters to work and verify the reflected content.
On the same evening, the ward police proceeded to make a record of the incident, record initial information and handle it according to regulations. Functional agencies continue to clarify related contents, including reflections on incorrect weight weighing, the attitude of sellers and factors affecting business activities in the night market area.
Local authorities said they will strictly handle violations if detected, and at the same time strengthen inspection and rectification of trading activities, especially in areas with high tourist density.
