On January 12, information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province - said that the province is focusing resources to realize the goal of becoming a clean energy production and export center, making an important contribution to national energy security.
According to the adjusted Power Plan VIII and Resolution 70-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Dak Lak identifies renewable energy as a strategic growth engine.
In the period 2025-2030, the province plans to develop 90 new projects with a total capacity of 7,780.5 MW. The focus is on 27 concentrated solar power projects with a total capacity of 4,314 MW and 42 wind power projects with a total capacity of 2,796 MW, 6 biomass power projects with a total capacity of 285 MW, and 3 waste treatment and power generation plant projects with a total capacity of 34 MW.
Vision to the period 2031 - 2035, the province continues to plan 33 more projects with a total capacity of 6,183 MW.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee is determined to develop industry according to the circular economy model and green growth.
The province will prioritize attracting investment in high-tech, environmentally friendly projects, and at the same time effectively implement the renewable energy certificate market (REC).
Also according to the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province, currently, the whole province has affirmed its position with a diverse power source system.
In which, hydropower has 25 operating plants with a capacity of 1,223.67 MW; solar power has 16 grid-connected projects and more than 6,500 roof systems, with a total capacity of over 2,360 MWp; wind power has 2 operating projects with a capacity of 428.8 MW and 4 projects with a capacity of 200 MW ready for grid connection; biomass power, currently phase 1 has been put into operation with a capacity of 30 MW.
