On July 26, Krong Pac Commune People's Committee (Dak Lak province) said that after the success of the first durian auction at the garden, the locality will continue to organize the second auction with a scale of about 50 hectares of durian.
Gardens participating in the auction must fully meet the conditions on planting area codes, quality testing documents, traceability and export standards, aiming to build a transparent and sustainable transaction model for the durian industry.
Currently, Krong Pac commune has more than 3,000 hectares of durian, with many concentrated production areas and many growing area codes serving exports. Local durian products are increasingly affirming their quality and prestige in the domestic and international markets.
Durian is not only a crop that brings high economic value but also a livelihood for thousands of households, making important contributions to economic growth, improving people's lives and promoting new rural construction in the locality.
Mr. Lai Duc Dai, Chairman of Krong Pac Commune People's Committee, assessed that the auction is not only a trade promotion activity but also a milestone in innovating market connection methods, gradually forming a sustainable value chain for the durian industry.
According to Mr. Dai, in the context of the export market increasingly placing strict requirements on quality, traceability and transparency of raw material areas, the agricultural sector cannot just stop at good production but needs to organize production in chains, build brands and apply modern trading methods.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that this event has been and is creating motivation to improve the quality of durian products, develop standard growing areas, promote digital transformation and apply science and technology in agricultural production. Thereby, attracting a large number of tourists to the locality during the festival season and gradually affirming the quality of the province's key agricultural products.
