Total outstanding loans reached 168,595 billion VND
According to statistics from the State Bank of Vietnam, Dak Lak province branch, in 2024, credit institutions in the area directed loans to the production and business sector according to the Government's policy.
Total mobilized capital reached VND 96,537 billion (an increase of more than 16.1%) compared to the beginning of 2024. Total outstanding loans to the economy reached VND 168,595 billion, an increase of 11.05% (an increase of VND 16,773 billion) compared to the beginning of 2024.
Of which, loans for agriculture, forestry and fishery are 38,730 billion VND, industry and construction are 18,140 billion VND, trade and services are 111,725 billion VND.
Credit institutions have prioritized focusing capital to support lending to priority, key and advantageous areas of the province.
In the agricultural and rural sector alone, outstanding loans reached VND83,900 billion, accounting for nearly 50% of the total outstanding loans of the economy. Bad debts of the whole system were at VND1,820 billion, accounting for 1.08% of total outstanding loans.
Through research, from the end of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, banks in the province have prioritized and created conditions for many businesses to borrow capital and promote production and business.
Mr. Nguyen Le Minh Thanh - Director of Vietcombank Bac Dak Lak Branch said: "In the past time, we have supported agricultural trading enterprises and many households to disburse loans of tens of billions of VND".
According to Mr. Thanh, although the loans are not large, they will help small and medium-sized enterprises in the area maintain production and business activities in the last months of the year. Thereby, ensuring salaries, bonuses and welfare regimes for workers.
Request for capital disbursement for large projects
Discussing this issue, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Standing Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that the Provincial People's Committee has requested the State Bank of Vietnam's provincial branch to direct commercial banks and credit institutions to promptly disburse credit loans to businesses.
In particular, focusing on priority areas such as production, processing, export, high technology or key projects of the province.
According to Mr. Ha, banks and credit institutions in the area need to simplify loan procedures, reduce complicated requirements, and provide maximum support to borrowers.
Credit support mechanisms and policies need to be public and transparent so that people and businesses can easily access them.
In the context of Dak Lak province gradually recovering from the global economic recession, Mr. Ha especially emphasized that competent authorities must proactively remove difficulties and obstacles that units and individuals encounter in the process of borrowing capital.
The units proposed that the Provincial People's Committee provide appropriate solutions to ensure that credit capital is used effectively.

In 2025, the banking industry strives to achieve the target of increasing locally mobilized capital by 14% - 16%; increasing outstanding loans to the economy by 11% - 13% and controlling the bad debt ratio below 3% of total outstanding loans.
