ChatGPT encountered a widespread interruption problem globally since the morning of July 16. According to records until noon on July 17, many users were still unable to access and use the service normally. According to the reflection, users in many regions of the world, including Vietnam, have encountered serious interruptions, cannot log in, or when logged in, the website is not downloaded, chatbot does not respond, or reporter errors.

As a regular user of ChatGPT to support content editing and information lookup, Mr. Khuong Duy (Cau Giay, Hanoi) said: "Since the morning of July 17, I have tried to access ChatGPT many times but have had errors. The system continuously reported server or page issues, unable to download content. This affects my work progress".
Not only Mr. Duy, on technology forums and social networks, many users also simultaneously shared about the disconnection of this platform.
According to data from Downdetector - a website that tracks the status of online services, the number of error reports has skyrocketed, showing that the incident is widespread in many countries, affecting both free and paid versions.
OpenAI has acknowledged the problem on its status page and is actively working to fix it. Currently, OpenAI has not yet released an official cause for the incident.
