In the afternoon of July 13, Standing Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Ha Trung Chien chaired a working session with departments, branches, localities and investors on the policy of implementing the Chieng Khoa Valley Retreat eco-resort project.
According to the proposal, the project is planned on an area of 237ha, implemented in two phases and is expected to welcome about 300,000 visitors per year after completion.

The items include a 3-5 star resort, health care area, camping, agricultural experience, food street, Northwest cultural square and amusement parks, adventure sports.
Representatives of the investor said that the planning plan has been adjusted to ensure a traffic safety corridor, not overlapping existing infrastructure and bringing the strictly protected area of Nang Tien Waterfall scenic spot outside the project scope.
More than 56ha of protection forest, agricultural land, rivers, streams and ecological corridors will be kept in their original state; and 22.61ha of rice land will be preserved, combined with the development of organic rice models to serve experiential tourism.
When put into operation, the project is expected to create jobs for about 300 workers in the construction phase and from 300-700 regular workers, prioritizing local labor recruitment, especially ethnic minorities.

Speaking at the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Ha Trung Chien assessed that the project is basically in line with the plan, contributing to exploiting tourism potential, promoting green economic development and creating sustainable livelihoods for people.
Provincial leaders requested the investor to continue to complete the plan, coordinate with departments and branches to complete the dossier according to regulations; and at the same time requested the locality to strengthen propaganda and create consensus among the people so that the project can be implemented effectively.
