Dien Bien opens cashless payment fair

Dien Bien - On September 17, the Dien Bien Provincial Cashless Payment Fair 2026 opened with 30 experience booths.

The event is organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Dien Bien province in coordination with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy and related units, taking place from September 17-19 within the framework of the National E-commerce Development Program 2026.

The fair gathers booths displaying and promoting OCOP products, typical products of Dien Bien province. People can directly experience QR code payments, electronic payments and cashless methods when shopping.

Speaking at the opening, Mr. Luong Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dien Bien province - said that the program aims to help people access modern, safe and convenient payment methods; and at the same time support businesses, cooperatives and business households to apply digital platforms to production and business activities.

Notably, products at the fair are promoted through livestreams on digital platforms, thereby expanding access to consumers, distributors and partners.

Ms. Nguyen Quynh Anh (Dien Bien Phu ward) - shared: "Today I see quite a few people coming to the market, everyone seems excited about transferring money. Buying agricultural products without using cash seems quite convenient.

The Department of Industry and Trade requests business establishments to ensure the origin, origin, quality and list prices of goods; proactively apply QR codes, electronic payments, online sales and livestreaming.

The event is expected to contribute to promoting e-commerce, cashless payments and expanding the market for local products.
