On August 18, according to PV's investigation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MARD) has just announced the results of selecting organizations and individuals to consider issuing mineral exploration licenses in areas where the exploitation rights are not auctioned.
Accordingly, on July 24, 2026, Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company submitted a dossier requesting to explore gold ore in Khuoi Sap, Yen Tho commune. This is the only unit to submit a dossier in this area.
Based on Decree No. 193/2025/ND-CP, amended and supplemented by Decree No. 21/2026/ND-CP, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment selected Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company to consider issuing a mineral exploration license.
However, being selected does not mean that the enterprise is licensed for exploration.
The Ministry requested Thinh Dat Company to complete the dossier according to regulations, including supplementing a report on mineral activities in the last 5 years (if any), compliance with the law on geology and minerals, violations and handling status (if any).
Notably, gold belongs to the list of strategic and important minerals of Vietnam in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045.
The complete dossier must be sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and settlement according to regulations.
