Quickly fix it to regain credibility
On July 31, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that it had restored the durian growing area code for export to China for many businesses and cooperatives after completing the remedy of existing problems as required.

In which, Thinh Phat Dinh Trang Thuong Durian Cooperative has restored the planting area code of nearly 20ha, linked with 9 households, with an estimated output of about 680 tons in 2026.
Mr. Tran Minh Hao - Director of the Cooperative - said that immediately after receiving the warning, the unit established an inspection team and implemented a multi-stage remedial process. After re-inspection, pests and diseases have been thoroughly handled.
We seriously learn from experience, overcome shortcomings to meet the quarantine requirements of the importing country and maintain the reputation of local agricultural products," Mr. Hao shared.

Similarly, Toan Hang Private Enterprise (Nhan Co commune) was also restored the durian growing area code for export.
According to Mr. Truong Cong Toan - owner of Toan Hang enterprise, previously specialized agencies discovered that about 1.5% of durian fruits were infected with Planococcus minor mealybugs.
This is a pest of very small size, difficult to detect with the naked eye and may appear during care, harvesting or preliminary processing after harvest.
After the enterprise synchronously implemented handling measures, specialized agencies checked again and no more mealybugs were detected. At the same time, the enterprise has completed the supervision of the planting area in 2026 and is eligible to maintain the code.

B'LaoFood Joint Stock Company (in Loc Son Industrial Park, B'Lao ward) was also restored to export activities for a 70ha wide growing area, linked with 14 households, with an output of about 2,100 tons after overcoming existing problems related to pests and diseases.
Tighten management of planting area codes
Not only durian, the Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment also restored the code of the dragon fruit packaging facility of Van Thinh business household (Ham Tan commune) after the unit completed the dossier, production process, factory and equipment according to regulations.
Currently, the whole province has about 961 planting area codes with an area of more than 39,360ha and 362 packaging facility codes for export.

For durian alone, Lam Dong has 346 planting area codes approved by China with a total area of about 13,297ha, along with 70 packaging facility codes that meet the conditions for official export.
According to the agricultural sector, errors are inevitable in the production process.
However, the important thing is that businesses, cooperatives and people have proactively identified the causes and seriously overcome them to meet the quarantine requirements of the import market.

The restoration of many planting area codes and packaging facilities not only shows that management is increasingly tight but also affirms the awareness of compliance of businesses in ensuring the quality of agricultural products, traceability and meeting export standards.
This is also the basis for Lam Dong agricultural products to continue to maintain prestige, expand markets and improve competitiveness, especially in the Chinese market - where increasingly strict regulations on plant quarantine and traceability are being applied.
