Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Minh Man - Deputy General Director of VinaGroup Tourism Company said that MICE and retreat products (resort combination conferences) are one of the four spearhead product groups that businesses are oriented to develop based on the new potential of the city after the merger. The process of border consolidation creates an ideal space for MICE to not only stop at meetings but become a complete experience package for businesses.

Regarding the long-term strategy, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing - Communications Director of Vietluxtour Company said that the company aims to build a key MICE brand in Ho Chi Minh City, not only stopping at conferences or exhibitions, but expanding into multi-layered experiences, associated with culture, smart cities and resorts along expanded routes.
The company is developing model MICE programs combining events and urban - cultural - entertainment experiences such as gala dinner in high-rise buildings, team - building in new urban areas and suburbs, smart model sightseeing, creative urban areas and high-quality industrial parks.

The unit also promotes cooperation with international partners, participating in major MICE fairs in the area to attract large-scale groups to Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, upgrading internal service infrastructure and building a regional network connecting from Ho Chi Minh City to newly merged destinations and neighboring areas, in order to take advantage of new areas and routes, increasing the difference for MICE products.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, after the merger, the city will form a diverse " triangle of identity", in which localities complement each other, creating a foundation to build more typical and attractive tourism products. Therefore, the city possesses enough strengths to make a breakthrough in the MICE field.
Many new products are gradually taking shape, such as urban - factory tours combined with visits to typical attractions of Ho Chi Minh City with experiences at factories, high-tech industrial parks and craft villages in Binh Duong or eco-tourism - golf products along the Saigon River towards the MICE segment combined with resorts.
