According to the Hau Giang Provincial Statistics Office, trade and service activities continued to improve in November, with more favorable trading and business transactions for small traders. It is estimated that in November 2024, total retail sales, accommodation and food services and consumer services reached VND 5,821.36 billion, equal to 124.73% over the same period last year. Total revenue from the entertainment service industry contributed greatly to this growth.
In the first 11 months of 2024, the total retail sales of goods, consumer services and accommodation and catering services are estimated to reach VND 56,649.45 billion, equal to 111.39% over the same period last year. The structure of revenue scale of industries remains stable. Retail is still the key industry with large revenue scale, contributing and influencing the overall growth rate of both the trade and service industries.
The retail sales revenue of goods reached 40,947.71 billion VND. Towards the end of the year, the retail business sector of individuals and enterprises in the area mostly changed in a positive direction, with the scale of revenue increasing each month. This contributed to the overall growth rate reaching a fairly good level compared to the same period last year.
The revenue of the accommodation and catering industry reached 7,072.84 billion VND. The accommodation and catering industry gradually became more active towards the end of the year. New businesses (beverage shops, breakfast shops, family restaurants, etc.) sprung up quite a lot compared to the same period, contributing to the revenue scale of this industry having a good growth rate.
Revenue from other service industries (excluding accommodation, food and beverage, tourism and travel services) reached VND 8,628.75 billion, with a stable growth rate.
Service industries have generally seen high growth rates since the beginning of the year compared to the same period last year. Real estate business has only gradually recovered in recent months, so it is still down compared to the same period last year. Stable business establishments have contributed to maintaining a stable growth rate month after month.
