According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province, this agency has posted the content of the consultation report on the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the project " priori-source petroleum warehouse combined with Ba Ngoi flying fuel".
The project has a total investment of more than 150 billion VND, invested by Vietnam Oil Corporation - JSC (PVOIL) PVOIL and Cam Ranh Port Joint Stock Company, built in Cam Linh ward, Cam Ranh city, with an expected warehouse capacity of 15,000m3.
This project has 2 components, of which component 1 is the sea encroachment item. Specifically, the leveling area has an area of 19,929m2, filling the sea, protective stone embankment and technical infrastructure.
It is expected that the construction and acceptance of the project for the sea encroachment item will be completed within 10 months from the date of acceptance of the investment policy (expected in August 2025).
Component 2 will be a gas station project with an area of about 2 hectares. Component 2 will have a total capacity of 13,500m3, construction area (maximum 12,000m2); number of floors (1-2); height of the project (maximum 17.2m)...
Component 2 will be completed within 13 months from the date of completion of the sea encroachment item (expected in September 2026).
The project "Ba Ngoi Flight Fuel First Lieu Lieu Lieu" was built with the goal of becoming a primary warehouse for aviation fuel supply for the fuel warehouse at Cam Ranh airport, initially participating in the goal of increasing output and developing the aviation fuel market of PVOIL in the area.
According to the environmental impact assessment report, the project will encroach on 2 hectares of sea surface, which will change the terrain, natural landscape of the area and certainly affect the flow momentum.
In addition, the process of leveling and building sea encroachment items will take away part of the habitats of some coastal animals and plants, disrupting the stability of ecosystems that have existed for a long time...
