In the North, gas prices on April 21st continued to record developments in a direction favorable to consumers in some localities. Specifically, in Hanoi, the price of a 12kg cylinder remained stable at 598,104 VND, while a 48kg cylinder remained at 2,464,992 VND.
Notably, in Hai Phong, gas prices recorded a clear decrease, with a 12kg cylinder down 23,328 VND, down to 596,160 VND, approaching the threshold of 590,000 VND - a notable low in recent times.
In the Central region, the market continued to move sideways. In Da Nang, the price of 12kg cylinders remained at 560,000 VND, while 48kg cylinders stabilized at 2,179,000 VND after previous adjustments.
The Southern region maintains a stable price level in major cities. In Ho Chi Minh City, the price of a 12kg cylinder is at 592,000 VND and a 48kg cylinder is 2,364,000 VND, with no new fluctuations recorded. Meanwhile, Can Tho continues to be the region with the lowest price, with a 12kg cylinder of about 550,000 VND.
In general, the gas price level is still differentiated by region and distribution system. Notably, Petrolimex's gas price is still stable, with a 12kg cylinder listed at 629,208 VND, unchanged compared to the session on April 20.

Domestic gas prices by brand
Domestic retail gas prices on April 21st continued to maintain a stable state at major brands, showing that the market is in a "sideways" phase after previous fluctuations.
Petrolimex still maintains the listed price, with a 12kg cylinder at 629,208 VND and a 48kg cylinder (industrial type) at 2,516,832 VND. Maintaining a stable price level for many consecutive sessions shows that this leading enterprise has not been under pressure to adjust new input costs.
In the private brand group, Saigon Petro continues to maintain a higher price than the general level, with a 12kg cylinder at 654,500 VND and a 45kg cylinder reaching 2,455,000 VND. This price level reflects the specific characteristics of the distribution system as well as operating costs in each area.
Similarly, Pacific Petro has also not recorded new fluctuations, when the price of a 12kg cylinder is maintained at 650,000 VND and a 45kg cylinder is 2,408,000 VND. The fact that many brands are "fixing prices" shows that short-term supply and demand are in a relatively balanced state.
Notably, PV GAS continues to record a clear differentiation in prices between regions. In Hanoi, the price of a 12kg cylinder is 610.200 VND and a 45kg cylinder is 2,288.250 VND - which is lower than the general level. Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the prices are 640.081 VND and 2,400.259 VND respectively, significantly higher, reflecting the difference in transportation and warehousing costs and the characteristics of the Southern consumption market.
In general, although gas prices between brands have not had major fluctuations, the difference between distribution systems and regions is still maintained at a significant level. This makes consumers and business households need to closely monitor prices according to each brand to optimize costs, especially in the context that world energy prices still contain many potential fluctuations.
