Gold price today 1.9: Rising to a 10-month peak, "racing" to buy

    Gold price today 1.9 has increased sharply from 140 - 160 thousand VND/tael since opening the trading session at PNJ. The weakening of the USD and the continued tensions over North Korea's military continue to push up, causing the world gold price to reach a 10-month high.

    Opening this morning's trading session (September 1), DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold at 36.50 - 36.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 80,000 VND for buying and an increase of 70,000 VND for selling compared to the same time in yesterday's trading session.

    SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau is listed at 36.52 - 36.59 million VND/tael, an increase of 80,000 VND for buying and an increase of 90 thousand VND for selling compared to yesterday. Price of plain round gold rings Dragon Thang Long gold is trading at: 35.74 - 36.19 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 310 thousand VND in both directions compared to the previous trading session.

    At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), the price of SJC gold bars was listed at 36.49 - 36.68 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 140,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 160,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the same time yesterday.

    The world gold price is currently listed at 1,318.80 - 1,319,80 USD/ounce.

    9999 gold price for December delivery increased by 8.90 USD/ounce to 1,323 USD/ounce.

    December gold delivery prices have closed at a 10-month high. The USD continued to weaken after the US release of data showing the US inflation rate increased the slowest since the end of 2015. This has eased speculation about the possibility of the Federal Reserve (Fed) raising interest rates again in December.

    The first resistance level was recorded at 1,325 USD/ounce and then the high of 1,331.90 USD/punce this week. The first support level was seen at 1,307 USD/ounce and then 1,300 USD/ounce.

    Gold prices continue to be pushed up partly due to military tensions in North Korea. In the latest move, the market also received support from the tense situation on the Korean peninsula.

    In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank on the morning of September 1 was 22,443 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous session. Vietcombank's USD exchange rate today is listed at 22,695 - 22,765 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged in both directions compared to the previous trading session.
