    Gold prices today, August 30, have increased sharply since the opening of the trading session. World gold prices continue to skyrocket to a new peak, while the USD continues to lose value miserably compared to other major currencies.

    Opening this morning's trading session (8.30), DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold at 36.60-36.45 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out), an increase of 110,000 VND for buying and a decrease of 120,000 VND for selling compared to the same time in yesterday's trading session.

    SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau is listed at 36.53-36.60 million VND/tael, up 50,000 VND for buying and up 60,000 VND for selling compared to yesterday. Price of plain round gold rings Dragon Thang Long gold is trading at: 35.68 -36.13 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 60 thousand VND in both directions compared to the previous trading session.

    At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), the price of SJC gold bars was listed at 36.45-36.64 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out), an increase of 20 thousand VND/tael for buying and a decrease of 40 thousand VND for selling compared to the same time yesterday.

    The world gold price is currently listed at 1311.70 - 1312.70 USD/ounce.

    9999 gold price for December delivery increased by 5 USD/ounce to 1320.40 USD/ounce.

    World gold prices continue to reach an 11-month high. Gold prices have firmly surpassed the 1,300 USD/ounce resistance level and are being supported by information of military tensions when North Korea fired a missile over Japan. Investors are waiting for the next response from US President Donal Trump. North Korea's actions are seen as a challenge to the US, which prompted the US President to write on his personal Twitter that "All options are on the table".

    The euro has hit a 2.5-year high. The Japanese Yen also appreciated as Japanese investors turned to safe-haven assets.

    USD Index prices in today's trading session continued to decline. One of the reasons is that experts are concerned that US GDP will decline in the third quarter due to the consequences of the terrible storm sweeping through Texas. Hurricanes and consecutive downpours have flooded Houston, Texas, including major refineries. This will reduce US oil supply. This could lead to a decline in crude oil and an increase in gasoline prices in the coming time.

    In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank on the morning of August 30 was VND 22,438/USD, unchanged from the previous session. Vietcombank's USD exchange rate today is listed at 22,695 - 22,765 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged in both directions compared to the previous trading session.
