    Gold prices today, August 28, continued to increase from the opening of the trading session in the context of the USD plummeting against other major currencies. The majority of investors expect gold prices to continue to rise this week.

    Opening this morning's trading session (8.), DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold at 36.38 - 36.48 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 30 thousand VND for buying and an increase of 60 thousand VND for selling compared to the same time in the trading session at the end of last week.

    According to a survey by Kitco, the majority of investors on Wall Street and Main Street expect gold prices to continue to increase this week.     Meanwhile, 788 readers participated in the vote on Main Street, the results showed 375 votes (48%) expected gold prices to increase; 340 votes (43%) decreased and 71 (9%) were neutral.

    The disappointing speech of Ms. J.Yellen - Chairman of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) at the recent US central banking conference caused the USD to immediately plummet to the bottom of the 3-week threshold. In his lackluster speech, Fed Chairman quan quan Yellen did not give any new signal on monetary policy. Investors are turning to gold as a safe haven, sending gold prices to their highest level since June 2017.

    On the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank on the morning of August 28 was 22,443 VND/USD, down 3 VND compared to the previous session. Vietcombank's USD exchange rate today is listed at 22,695 - 22,765 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged in both directions compared to the previous trading session.
