According to the plan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance will adjust retail gasoline prices according to the cycle tomorrow (August 22).
The leader of a southern petroleum distribution enterprise said that after the previous operating period, crude oil prices fluctuated up and down in opposite directions, but recently have been trending downward.
On August 20, the price of imported gasoline on the Singapore market decreased slightly, the difference compared to the domestic price was about 450-550 VND/liter. Therefore, it is likely that domestic gasoline prices may decline during the operating period on August 22.
In particular, gasoline prices are expected to decrease by about 480-550 VND/liter, while diesel prices may decrease by a similar level of about 400-500 VND/liter. In case the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance allocates a Stabilization Fund , gasoline prices may decrease less.
At the beginning of the trading session on August 21, world oil prices were still in a downtrend.
According to data from Oilprice, at 7:43 a.m. on August 21 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was trading at 77.16 USD/barrel, down 0.05% compared to the previous session. WTI oil price was at 74.04 USD/barrel, down 0.44% compared to the previous session.
In the Singapore market, the average price of finished gasoline in the past period decreased slightly compared to the previous period.
In the Vietnamese market, on the morning of August 21, gasoline prices on the market were as follows:
- E5RON92 gasoline: not higher than 20,882 VND/liter
- RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 21,852 VND/liter
- DO oil 0.05S: not higher than 19,230 VND/liter
- Kerosene: not higher than 19,572 VND/liter
- 180CST 3.5S fuel oil: not higher than 16,245 VND/kg.
