World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices in today's trading session, August 20 (Vietnam time), simultaneously decreased. WTI crude oil was at 73.44 USD/barrel, down 0.22 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.30%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 73.66 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 73.70 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 77.44 USD/barrel, down 0.22 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.28%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 77.66 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 77.77 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, the oil market is under pressure from ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Besides China's economic problems, according to data released last week, new home prices in China fell at the fastest rate in nine years. China's oil refineries also sharply cut crude oil processing rates in July to cope with weak fuel demand.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 20, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's published price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above mentioned domestic retail gasoline price has been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of August 15. Accordingly, the price of fuel oil increased the most, 217 VND/kg. Diesel oil increased the least, 89 VND/liter. Two gasoline products E5 RON 92 and RON 95-III increased by 167 VND/liter and 179 VND/liter respectively. Kerosene also increased by 161 VND/liter.

Discounted prices of petroleum products today, August 20, at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:
Pvoil applies the discount on August 20: Oil discount 1,750 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,650 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter. This discount is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on August 20 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,700 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,600 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 20: 95-III gasoline: 1,600; E5 gasoline: 1,250; Oil: 1,750 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices may decrease. In particular, gasoline can be reduced by 200 - 300 VND/liter; Oil fell below 100 VND/liter.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 15 times. Oil products had 16 increases and 16 decreases.
