World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 58.29 USD/barrel last weekend, increasing to 61.02 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil increased by 2.73 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 4.7% compared to last week.
Brent oil was at 61.29 USD/barrel last weekend, increasing to 63.91 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 2.62 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 4.3% compared to last week.
Thus, world oil prices recovered strongly last week, however, the increase in prices this week could not compensate for the deep decrease of 7-8% last week.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 11, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 8, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline products have decreased in price. E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 377 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 407 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 550 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 623 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 665 VND/kg.

The discount levels of gasoline products today, May 11, at some domestic gasoline trading enterprises are as follows:
Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 850 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 850 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; Diesel 0.05S - II: 700 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 750 VND/liter, applied at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 800 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: Out of stock; RON 95 - III gasoline: 800; E5 gasoline: 750 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III gasoline discount: 900 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 950 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments in the direction of slight increase in gasoline prices and decrease in oil prices.
Of which, gasoline price is forecast to increase by about 10-30 VND/liter; oil price decreases by about 60 VND/liter/kg.
