World oil prices today

At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 66.39 USD/barrel last weekend, up to 67.02 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI oil increased by 0.39 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.9% compared to the previous week.

Brent oil was at 71.76 USD/barrel last weekend, up to 72.48 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 0.72 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1% compared to the previous week.

According to analysts, the global energy market is facing one of the most serious shocks in decades, as military developments between the US, Israel and Iran raise concerns about the risk of disruption of oil supplies from the world's key production region.

The actual level of impact depends on the developments and duration of the conflict. However, the existing risks are sufficient to create a cautious sentiment in the market, especially when this region contributes about 20% of global oil supply.

Analysts believe that if there is no quick solution, oil prices may rise sharply when the market opens on Monday morning. Standard Brent crude oil prices have risen in recent weeks to over 70 dollars a barrel, the highest level since August 2025 as investors prepare for a military confrontation in the Middle East.

The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above will be adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on February 20, 2025.

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 889 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 999 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 754 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 854 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 173 VND/kg.
