World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 61.53 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 60.79 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil decreased by 0.74 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.2% compared to last week.
Brent oil was at 64.78 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 62.78 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil decreased by 2 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of more than 3% compared to last week.
Thus, world oil prices continued to fall sharply last week, marking the second consecutive week of decline.
According to analysts, this trend continues as the market receives information about the possibility that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) will discuss increasing production beyond 41,000 barrels/day in July, at a separate meeting held on May 31. Tax measures are also creating significant pressure, causing oil prices to weaken.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 1, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 29, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have adjusted in opposite directions with slight increases in gasoline prices and decreases in oil prices.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 74 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, diesel price decreased by 269 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 248 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. Due to the increase in world oil prices last week, according to calculations, in the next price adjustment period, domestic retail prices of gasoline may fluctuate slightly, following an upward trend.
