World oil price today
World oil prices today increased sharply. At 11:51, WTI crude oil was at 63.38 USD/barrel, up 0.91 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.46%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 62.47 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 62.65 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 66.61 USD/barrel, up 0.76 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.15%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 75.85 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 65.92 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are on the rise. At the end of yesterday's trading session (September 16), Brent and WTI oil increased by 1.8% and 1.9%, respectively. The increase continued in this morning's session.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On April 17, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of April 10, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased sharply.
RON 95-III gasoline price decreased by 1,712 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 1,491 VND/liter. Among the oil and kerosene products, the most decreased was 1,322 VND/liter, followed by diesel down 1,235 VND/liter and mazut down 1,124 VND/kg.

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,250 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong warehouse K99; Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,100 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec; Diesel 0.001S - V: 1,150 VND at Dinh Vu warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,350 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,300; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350; E5 gasoline: 1,250 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III gasoline discount: 1,350 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,450 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. Before the two recent sharp increases, world oil prices had a period of deep decline before. According to this development, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may continue to decrease.
Of which, RON 95 gasoline price may decrease by about 340 VND/liter; E5 gasoline may decrease by about 380 VND/liter; Diesel oil may decrease by about 200 VND/liter.
