World oil price today
World oil prices today decreased simultaneously. At 11:32 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 63.84 USD/barrel, down 0.21 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.33%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 84.05 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 63.94 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 67.79 USD/barrel, down 0.16 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.24%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.95 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 67.91 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are recording a reversal trend after consecutive price increases. At the end of yesterday's trading session (September 17), both oil products, WTI and Brent, decreased by 0.73% and 0.76%, respectively.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On September 18, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on September 11.
Accordingly, gasoline prices decreased by 39-95 VND/liter; oil prices (excluding mazut) increased by 54-170 VND/liter. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 95 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by 39 VND/liter, diesel increased by 170 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 54 VND/liter, and mazut alone decreased by 286 VND/kg.
This management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,300 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,150; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: 1,100 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,000 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S: 1,300. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 210 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 235 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 60 VND/liter.
