World oil price today
World oil prices today decreased simultaneously. At 12:30 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 64.41 USD/barrel, down 0.11 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.17%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 84.52 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 64.51 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 68.34 USD/barrel, down 0.13 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.19%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 68.47 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 68.49 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are recording a reversal trend after yesterday's strong increase. At the end of yesterday's trading session (September 16), both oil products, WTI and Brent, increased by 1.9% and 1.5%, respectively.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On September 17, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on September 11.
Accordingly, gasoline prices decreased by 39-95 VND/liter; oil prices (excluding mazut) increased by 54-170 VND/liter. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 95 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by 39 VND/liter, diesel increased by 170 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 54 VND/liter, and mazut alone decreased by 286 VND/kg.
This management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,300 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,150; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: VND 1,200/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: VND 1,100/liter; Diesel 0.05S: 1,400. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 210 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 210 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 10 VND/liter.
