World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices in today's trading session, July 20 (Vietnam time), simultaneously dropped very sharply. WTI crude oil was at 78.60 USD/barrel, down 2.70 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.32%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 81.30 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 80.87 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 82.58 USD/barrel, down 2.53 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.79%. Brent oil closed the previous session at 85.11 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 84.81 USD/barrel.
According to Reuters, the long-awaited ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is within reach. The conflict in Gaza has prompted investors to consider the risk premium when trading oil, as tensions threaten global supply.
China's economic growth slowed in the second quarter of 2024 due to the prolonged weakness of the real estate market. This raises concerns about the country's oil demand.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On July 20, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's announced price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above mentioned domestic retail gasoline price was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of July 18. Accordingly, a reduction of 110 VND/liter with E5 RON92 biofuel and a reduction of 120 VND/liter with RON95 gasoline. Oil products had a higher decrease, in which kerosene decreased by more than 370 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 330 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 110 VND/kg.

Pvoil applies discount rates on July 20: Oil discount 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,450 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter. This discount is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on July 20 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,450 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on July 20: RON 95 - III gasoline discount: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; Oil: 1,450 VND/liter

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices will have opposite adjustments
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 13 times. Oil products increased 15 times and decreased 14 times.
