On the side of Tuyen Quang province, there were Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee.
Reporting on the situation of prevention and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in the area, Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council said that the damage caused by natural disasters in Tuyen Quang province killed 5 people; 20,000 houses were affected; over 5,000 households were evacuated from the danger zone.
In addition, many schools and offices were flooded. Over 9,000 hectares of rice and crops were damaged; many traffic routes were eroded, blocked, and seriously damaged.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee thanked the delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their sympathy and sharing the difficulties of the people of Tuyen Quang. This timely encouragement will be the driving force for the people to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the meeting, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang shared the difficulties and losses of people and property in Tuyen Quang province, and highly appreciated the proactive and decisive spirit of the provincial leaders. This has minimized the damage, especially the forecasting work, practical experience, and promoting the "4 on-site" motto in Tuyen Quang.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor believes that with the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, Tuyen Quang province will unite and overcome difficulties. With the support of the Central Government, the province will soon rebuild infrastructure, promptly support the affected people, and soon stabilize the people's lives.
Based on the initial report and proposal on the situation of union members and workers affected by storm No. 3 from the Tuyen Quang Provincial Federation of Labor, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has provided 150 million VND to directly support union members and workers affected by the storm and floods. When there are specific figures and proposals from the Federation of Labor, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to provide timely support.
Also on this occasion, the Vietnam Maritime Trade Union presented 500 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province to support people affected by natural disasters.
Visiting, encouraging and giving gifts to the staff and workers of Tuyen Quang Urban Management and Environmental Services Joint Stock Company, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that after storms and floods, the environmental sanitation force is facing many difficulties, especially when the workload is large and the working hours are regardless of day or night.
"I understand that the Company has mobilized 265 staff and workers to do post-flood cleaning.Of these, 250 staff and workers have houses affected by the flood, many of whom have not returned home to clean their houses.
This is truly a sacrifice and effort for the common cause, so we need to pay attention and provide timely support to environmental staff and workers," emphasized Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang.
