World oil price today
World oil prices have just experienced a sharp decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session (August 19), WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 1.45% and 0.92%, respectively, closing at the lowest level in the past 3 weeks.
By this morning's session, both oil products reversed and increased slightly. At 10:22, WTI crude oil was at 61.87 USD/barrel, up 0.10 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.16%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 61.77 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 61.95 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 75.88 USD/barrel, up 0.09 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.14%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 75.79 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 65.97 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 20, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on August 14.
Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased simultaneously. E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 254 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by 190 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 723 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 640 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 379 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may adjust in opposite directions in the direction of increasing gasoline prices and decreasing oil prices.
Of which, RON 95 - III gasoline price is forecast to increase by about 160 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 60 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 230 VND/liter.
