Representative of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) - General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu had a meeting and encouraged the Vietnam U16 women's team before the whole team left for Indonesia to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian U16 Women's Championship.
At the meeting, on behalf of the coaching staff and the team reporting on the preparation process for the 2025 Southeast Asian U16 Women's U16, head coach Okiyama Masahiko said that after a month of training, the team has completed all training programs and is ready to enter the tournament with high determination.

We are confident in our preparation and aim to strive for each match to achieve the best results. Vietnam U16 women's team is considered one of the championship candidates, but football cannot predict anything. We will do our best to realize the set goals, coach Okiyama emphasized.
On behalf of VFF leaders, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu praised the serious and quality training spirit of the players, and acknowledged the close coordination between the coaching staff and the Technical Director in professional work.
General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu affirmed that VFF has and will continue to create the best conditions for the team, from preparation in Vietnam to going to Indonesia to participate in the tournament.
This is the first time young players have stepped into the international arena, but it is also a valuable opportunity to accumulate experience for their future development.
VFF hopes that the whole team will maintain their health, follow the instructions of the coaching staff and compete with the highest spirit to achieve the best results, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu emphasized.

On behalf of the whole team, captain Cam My thanked the VFF leadership and relevant agencies for always caring and accompanying, and affirmed their determination to compete with all their might to complete the goals at the tournament.
Tomorrow (8.19), the Vietnam U16 women's team will leave for Indonesia. According to the group stage schedule, coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team will enter the opening match against Cambodia U16 on August 21 and face Myanmar U16 on August 25.
