On the evening of August 21, in Ba Dinh Square, the first general parade and parade exercise took place. From early afternoon, people from all over flocked to the center of the capital, standing on the sidewalks of streets such as Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hung Vuong... Everyone was eager to witness the majestic training atmosphere of the armed forces and the groups participating in the parade.
In the midst of that raised line of people, there were those who quietly stood in familiar locations: intersections, road crossings, entrances to the market area... They were police officers, military control... They were like "lifelines", patiently guiding, reminding and supporting people, ensuring that the crowded line of people was still orderly and safe.
At the Ton Duc Thang intersection assigned by Nguyen Thai Hoc, the most important soldier Hoang Minh Quang - a military control soldier under the Hanoi Capital Command - and his teammates who started their duty from noon were present to guide each convoy of vehicles, regulate traffic and ensure security and order.
I identify the most important task as ensuring absolute safety for people and delegations attending the ceremony. Although it is difficult, I feel honored to contribute a small part to the overall success of the important national holiday, the most important soldier Hoang Minh Quang shared in a short moment amid the crowded traffic.

Not only in the center, on the streets leading to Ba Dinh Square, the police force is working hard to regulate. Each group of soldiers coordinated with local police to maintain security around the outside, coordinate traffic flow and promptly support people. Many soldiers were on duty continuously for more than 6 hours outdoors, with sweat all over their shirt, but their faces were still steadfast and solemn.

Captain Tran Van Quyet - an officer of Dong Da Ward Police (Hanoi City) - said that as the evening went on, the number of people flocking to Ba Dinh Square increased dramatically. The ward police coordinated with the army to block the Nguyen Luong Bang - Ring Road 1 intersection to both regulate traffic and ensure security and order.
"Since 11am, my colleagues and I have been at this intersection to do the task. The work requires observation, quick response and gentleness in behavior to both ensure security and keep the solemn and joyful atmosphere of the holiday, Captain Tran Van Quyet shared.
