World oil price today
World oil prices today increased simultaneously. At 10:24, WTI crude oil was at 68.28 USD/barrel, up 0.21 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.31%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 68.07 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 67.99 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 72.16 USD/barrel, up 0.16 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.22%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 72.00 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 72.39 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, oil prices have increased sharply in recent sessions thanks to the impact of new US sanctions on Iran and the latest output plan of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC +) raising concerns about tighter supply in the coming time.
On March 20, the US Treasury Department announced a series of new sanctions related to Iran, targeting for the first time an independent Chinese refinery, along with many ships participating in transporting Iranian crude oil to China.
Analysts say the move could signal to the market that Chinese companies, Iran's largest oil buyers, are not outside the reach of US sanctions.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On March 22, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 21, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline prices have increased simultaneously.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by VND 414/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by VND 438/liter, kerosene increased by VND 28/liter, diesel decreased by VND 5/liter, mazut decreased by VND 40/kg.

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,200 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,050 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,250 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,000; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,200; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: VND 1,000/liter; E5 Petroleum: VND 900/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: VND 1,250/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, gasoline prices may increase slightly.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 60 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increases by about 60 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 160 VND/liter.
