World oil price today
World oil prices today fluctuated in different directions. At 10:28 a.m., WTI crude oil was at 71.21 USD/barrel, up 0.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.01%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 71.20 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 71.15 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 74.46 USD/barrel, down 0.02 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.03%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 74.49 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 74.42 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices turned down after a strong increase. At the end of yesterday's trading session (January 1), both oil products decreased slightly. WTI oil decreased by 0.37%, Brent oil decreased by 0.39%.
According to analysts, oil prices decreased slightly as traders cautiously awaited US President Donald Trump's decision on retaliatory tariffs expected to be announced today, a move that could increase tensions in the global trade war. However, the decline was held back by growing concerns about supply, after Trump threatened to impose secondary tariffs on Russian oil and target the possibility of attacking Iran.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On April 2, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 27, 2025. Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 337 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 337 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 406 VND/liter, diesel increased by 324 VND/liter. Only mazut oil decreased by 53 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 480 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increases by about 370 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 280 VND/liter.
