Doubling the optional exam exam code
On the afternoon of March 28, at the Conference on deploying early admission, organizing high school graduation exams and evaluating the implementation of Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) informed and noted about some new points surrounding the high school graduation exam in 2025.
Regarding the exam questions, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that the exam content closely follows the content of the current GDPT Program at high school level, mainly the grade 12 program. The level of thinking is 40% of the level of knowledge, 30% of the level of understanding and 30% of the level of application. Strengthen connectivity, apply knowledge and skills to practice, especially in differentiation, to properly assess students' abilities.

With these new points, teachers are required to increase guidance for students to read and study by themselves. autonomy and self-study are also one of the three important common abilities mentioned in the 2018 General Education Program.
An important new point related to high school graduation consideration is that the calculation of graduation scores is only 50% of high school graduation exam scores (previous years were 70%), the remaining 50% is calculated from the 3-year high school study process.
Mr. Ha assessed that this change is consistent with the 2018 General Education Program with the focus on developing learners' abilities and qualities and many of the abilities and qualities of students developed during the learning process.
Regarding the organization of high school graduation exams, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that one of the problems that localities are worried about and often questioned is the process of arranging exam rooms.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will only have 3 sessions and the 3rd session will take both elective subjects.
To facilitate the organization and facilitate candidates, students will be arranged in a single exam room during the exam sessions, without having to move.
The arrangement of rooms according to 2 subjects of choice for candidates, in which one room can take the same subjects 1 and 2, but there are also exam rooms with many subjects at the same time.
Therefore, to ensure security, instead of having only 24 test codes for 24 students in 1 exam room as before, this year's exam raises the number of test codes to 48 for 2 time frames of the 3rd exam.
The collection of bai will be by department without having to classify by subject. Maintain 24 candidates/room, 1 exam room can arrange up to 5 subjects.
Another problem is that this year, students will be given the same exam according to the 2006 General Education Program (those who have not graduated, or taken the exam to get university admission scores) and students will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. To avoid errors, it is necessary to arrange some separate exam scores for students according to the 2006 Program.
Encourage localities to take the high school graduation exam
Currently, many localities have organized high school graduation exams. However, according to Mr. Ha, the organization needs to try to be similar to the official exam organization method, from the exam format and level, exam organization time, exam room arrangement...
The Ministry of Education and Training will support the exam marking software, send staff and experts for technical support, and answer questions about the marking process to ensure compliance with the regulations of the Exam Regulations.
During the exam organization, Deputy Director Nguyen Ngoc Ha also mentioned unusual situations that could occur and departments must prepare response scenarios immediately, including: errors in printing exam questions only discovered when removing exam questions; students and teachers writing incorrect information on the Test response forms, Exam papers; unusually bad weather affecting travel, ensuring school security; traffic congestion; power outage in exam areas; ensuring smooth communication...
