Gasoline and oil prices today 24. 2: Simultaneously increase sharply

World oil prices today

World gasoline and oil prices reversed and increased sharply after the previous price decrease session. At the end of the first trading session of the week, WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 0.26% and 0.38% respectively.

By today's session, both oil commodities reversed to increase. At 1:18 PM (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 66.75 USD/barrel, up 0.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.65%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 66.31 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 66.32 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 71.54 USD/barrel, up 0.43 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.60%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 71.11 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 71.09 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On February 24, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above will be adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on February 20, 2025.

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 200 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 146 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 62 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 103 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 293 VND/kg.

The discount rates for gasoline and oil products today, February 24th, at some domestic gasoline and oil businesses are as follows:

+ Hai Linh Warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel oil 0.05S: 750 VND/liter; Gasoline RON 95 - III: 650 VND/liter.

+ Bac Ninh Warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S: 600 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 500 VND/liter.

+ Nghi Son Warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S: 750 VND/liter; Gasoline RON 95 - III: 650 VND/liter.

- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:

+ Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 800 VND/liter;

+ Diesel oil 0.001S-V: 800 VND/liter;

+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter;

+ E5 gasoline: 700 VND/liter.

- MIPEC Petroleum Trading and Trading Co., Ltd. - MIPEC Petro (applied to the Northern region):

+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter.

+ Diesel oil 0.05S-II: 600 VND/liter.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period

According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase sharply.

In which:

- RON 95 - III gasoline increased by about 810 VND/liter;

- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increased by about 730 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil increased by about 770 VND/liter.
