World oil prices today
World oil prices continue to fluctuate strongly. At the end of the trading session on September 23, Brent oil price increased by 3.83 USD, equivalent to 3.86%; WTI oil price increased by 1.64 USD, equivalent to 1.81%, to 92.16 USD/barrel.
By this morning's session, both oil commodities turned down. At 8:58 am (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 91.92 USD/barrel, down 0.24 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.26%. WTI oil price closed the previous trading session at 92.16 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 92.67 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 102.60 USD/barrel, down 0.82 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.97%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 103.42 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 103.43 USD/barrel.
Oil prices closed the session on September 23 with a sharp increase amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran.
One of the factors affecting the market is the statement of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23. Mr. Pezeshkian declared that Tehran will not surrender to the US, and affirmed that diplomacy is still Iran's choice to find a solution to end the conflict. A day earlier, US President Donald Trump issued warnings to Iran at the United Nations General Assembly.
Iran is considering the US response to the proposal to end the conflict, in the context that the two sides still have many disagreements. The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of Washington's naval blockade against Iran were discussed in indirect talks on September 22.
However, the Iranian side said that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened if the conditions set by Tehran are not met. This development continues to increase concerns about oil transportation through this important sea route.
Regarding supply, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said that US crude oil inventories increased by 3 million barrels in the week ending September 18, to 426.4 million barrels.
Meanwhile, on September 22, Saudi Arabia offered to sell more oil to Asian refineries, with the oil source being delivered at locations outside the Strait of Hormuz.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may have opposite fluctuations in the direction of gasoline prices slightly increasing and oil prices decreasing.
In which:
- E10 gasoline increases by about 200 VND/liter
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 0-30 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil decreased by about 1,400 VND/liter.
