World oil prices today

World oil prices increased sharply in today's trading session, September 24 (Vietnam time). At 9:30 a.m., WTI crude oil was at 70.81 USD/barrel, up 0.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.63%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 70.37 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 71.75 USD/barrel.

Brent crude oil was at $73.61 a barrel, up $0.40 a barrel, or 0.55 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $73.21 a barrel and opened today at $73.56 a barrel.

Thus, after a sharp increase at the beginning of yesterday's session, world oil prices turned down towards the end of the session. At the beginning of today's session, world oil prices regained their upward momentum.

Analysts said a cut in U.S. interest rates has supported oil prices, which have been supported by falling U.S. supplies and rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Hezbollah, raising concerns about broader conflicts that could disrupt oil supplies.

However, factors such as the euro's sharp decline in September and China's lack of signs of recovery are also putting pressure on oil prices.
