World oil price today
World oil prices have just experienced a sharp decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session (August 26), WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 2.4% and 2.3%, respectively.
In this morning's session, both oil products continued to trade around the closing price of yesterday's session. At 10:59, WTI crude oil was at 63.25 USD/barrel, equal to the closing price of the previous session. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 63.25 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 63.45 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 66.69 USD/barrel, down 0.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.01%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 68.22 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 68.18 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 27, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on August 21.
Accordingly, gasoline prices increased, oil prices decreased. E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 110 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 208 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 172 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 152 VND/kg.
This management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 340 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 370 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 500 VND/liter.
