World oil price today
World oil prices have just experienced a strong fluctuation. After falling sharply in the previous session and continuing in the downward trend yesterday morning, both oil products suddenly reversed and increased sharply at the end of the session. At the end of yesterday's trading session (August 27), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively.
By this morning's session, world oil prices turned down again. At 12:37, WTI crude oil was at 63.58 USD/barrel, down 0.57 USD/barrel; equivalent to a decrease of 0.89 USD/barrel. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 64.16 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 63.83 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 66.90 USD/barrel, down 0.31 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.46%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.21 USD/barrel, which is also the opening price of today's session.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 28, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on August 21.
Accordingly, gasoline prices increased, oil prices decreased. E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 110 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 208 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 172 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 152 VND/kg.
This management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 270 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 310 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 450 VND/liter.
