World oil prices today
World oil prices fell across the board today. At 10:48 a.m. (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at $72.36/barrel, down $0.80/barrel, or 1.09%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $73.16/barrel and opened today's session at $72.38/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $75.57 a barrel, down $0.39 a barrel, or 0.51 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $75.96 a barrel and opened today at $75.44 a barrel.
Thus, world oil prices increased at the beginning of the first trading session of the week, then turned down at the end of the session. At the end of yesterday's session (February 3), Brent and WTI oil decreased by 0.5% and 1%, respectively. The downward trend continued in this morning's session.
World oil prices fell after US President Donald Trump agreed to postpone imposing high tariffs on the two largest foreign oil suppliers to the US, Mexico and Canada, for one month, according to analysts.
As for China, on February 3, the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump is about to have a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, setting up an important diplomatic exchange in the context of the world's two largest economies seeking a deal that can prevent a broader trade competition.
Besides, on the demand side, investors will pay attention to the weekly US crude oil inventory data for last week to be released from the American Petroleum Institute industry group today and tomorrow (Vietnam time).
Domestic gasoline prices today
On February 4, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of February 1, 2025. Accordingly, all gasoline and oil products decreased simultaneously.
The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 201 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 140 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 948 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 671 VND/liter, and fuel oil decreased by 250 VND/kg.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Discount on Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,050 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,000; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may increase.
