Gasoline and oil prices today, January 5th: Simultaneously sharply reduced

World gasoline prices today

World gasoline and oil prices today simultaneously decreased. At 11:02 AM (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 57.07 USD/barrel, down 0.25 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.44%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 57.32 USD/barrel; and opened the first session of the year at 56.99 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 60.60 USD/barrel, down 0.15 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.25%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 60.75 USD/barrel; and opened the first session of the year at a price of 60.45 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On January 5th, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on December 31, 2025

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 278 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 89 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 2 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 15 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 37 VND/kg.

According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may adjust in opposite directions in the direction of gasoline prices decreasing and oil prices increasing.
