In order to create an academic exchange forum and propose practical solutions in perfecting financial and monetary institutions, improving banking governance capacity and developing the Vietnamese capital market in a sustainable and internationally integrated manner, the Banking Academy in collaboration with AVSE Global, the International Association for the Development of Economics and Finance (ISAFE), EMLV Business School (France) and Massey University (New Zealand) organized the Vietnam International Banking and Finance Symposium (Vietnam Symposium in Banking and Finance - VSBF 2025).
The workshop opened at 8:30 a.m. on October 23, 2025 at the Banking Academy (Hanoi), gathering more than 300 delegates attending directly, including representatives of central ministries, departments, and branches; departments and agencies under the State Bank of Vietnam; leading experts in the finance - banking sector; and researchers and lecturers from many domestic and foreign training institutions. VSBF 2025 also marks a 10-year journey of formation and development.
Within the framework of the program, delegates will discuss key topics such as: sustainable development, macroeconomic stability, the role of financial intermediaries, as well as the impact of science, technology and innovation on the financial - banking market.
VSBF 2025 includes 16 discussion sessions, including 4 plenary sessions, 1 roundtable session and 11 parallel sessions, with 31 reports selected for presentation. Some outstanding contents include:
Day 1 session: " cross-border knowledge sharing, international supply chains and innovative ecosystems - Warning for tight trade policies".
Session 2: "Increasing the presence of non-bank organizations in the corporate lending market".
Special session: In-depth discussion on ESG and 7 violations in the contemporary banking system.
VSBF 2025 is expected to continue to be a knowledge bridge between researchers, experts and policymakers, contributing to promoting the sustainable and effective development of the Vietnamese financial and banking system and a deeper integration with the region and the world.
