This is an important decision in the province's personnel work, after Mr. Ho Tien Thieu retired under the regime.
Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, born in 1976, hometown of Quynh Luu district (old), Nghe An province, has a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and a Senior degree in political theory.
During his working career, he has held many important positions in state agencies, from the State Audit, the Central Economic Commission (now the Central Policy and Strategy Commission), to the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises and Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
At the session, with the absolute trust of the Provincial People's Council delegates, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Speaking on receiving the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan expressed his deep gratitude to the Central Party Secretariat, the Government, central departments, ministries, branches, as well as the previous leaders for entrusting him with this important responsibility.
He affirmed that this is a great honor but also a heavy responsibility to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan pledged to work with the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities to promote the spirit of innovation, take drastic actions for the common development of Lang Son province, towards the goal of bringing benefits to the community and the happiness of the people.
The session also carried out other important personnel work. The Lang Son Provincial People's Council has dismissed two comrades Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, was dismissed.
In addition, the Provincial People's Council has elected new positions. Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2021 - 2026.
Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc and Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026.
