Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha has just signed a decision to hand over the right to use the sea area to Hoanh Son Port Joint Stock Company (under Hoanh Son Group Joint Stock Company).
The sea area is assigned in Ky Loi commune, Ky Anh town (belonging to Vung Ang port) with an area of 7.97 hectares, a depth of up to 14.15m, and a maximum height of 55.6m. The purpose of use is to serve the connection of Ben No. 4 wharf at Vung Ang port that this enterprise has invested in and built.
Hoanh Son Port Joint Stock Company will be allowed to use this area for a period of 60 years, until May 12, 2025. The fee for using coastal areas is 7 million VND/ha/year, calculated from the time the decision takes effect. The payment method is regulated to be annual.

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province assigned Hoanh Son Port Joint Stock Company and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to be responsible before the law and competent authorities for using the sea area for the right purpose, protecting the environment and ensuring safety in maritime activities.
Do not encroach on the sea, do not violate the approved planning, and fully fulfill financial obligations.
In addition, the Company must report the situation of using the sea area annually, not be allowed to transfer the right to use the sea area, and must comply with regulations on environmental protection, labor safety and maritime.
The company must also coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure security, national defense and interests at sea.
All activities of exploitation and use of marine resources in the assigned marine area must comply with current legal regulations, and the company will be responsible for compensating organizations and individuals if they cause damage due to violations of the law.
In 2015, Hoanh Son Group Joint Stock Company started construction of Hoanh Son International General Port ( cang No. 4) with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND.
This general port has an area of over 16 hectares, including: a 330m long wharf, a cargo handling area and a logistics area.
The project can receive cargo ships with a capacity of up to 40,000 tons, with an expected exploitation capacity of 2.3 million tons/year.
It is expected that Port No. 4 will be put into operation and exploitation in 2025.
