According to the plan, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hai Phong LNG Power Plant Project will take place on September 26 in Da Ngu village, Kien Hung commune (near the Duong Ao ferry area). Currently, the contractor is speeding up the progress, mobilizing machinery, organizing construction for 3 shifts/day, striving to ensure the completion of infrastructure to serve the groundbreaking ceremony.
On September 17, inspecting the site of the groundbreaking ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, emphasized that the Hai Phong LNG Power Plant project is one of the key projects, of strategic significance to the city's development, chosen as a project to celebrate the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The Head of the Economic Zone Management Board requested the investor to fully prepare conditions to organize the groundbreaking ceremony on schedule. Power, water supply and telecommunications units coordinate to prepare service infrastructure, local authorities and city sectors survey and arrange convenient traffic routes, ensuring absolute security and safety for the upcoming groundbreaking and groundbreaking ceremony.
The Hai Phong LNG Power Plant project in Tan Trao Industrial Park has an area of over 98.5 hectares, with a designed capacity of 4,800 MW (phase 1 reaches 1,600 MW). This is a key project, in line with the development planning of the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of Hai Phong, playing an important role in ensuring national energy security.
