Bustling shopping atmosphere
At this time, diverse and abundant Tet goods are sold at traditional markets and supermarkets in Can Tho City. People have started to plan their shopping.
Going shopping with her family, Ms. Tran Dieu Loan (Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) shared that although there is still more than a month until Tet, at the markets and supermarket systems, goods are already displayed quite a lot. All kinds of cakes, jams, soft drinks, and Tet gift baskets are full on the shelves for consumers to choose from.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong (Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City) shared that the shopping atmosphere at markets and supermarkets has become much more bustling. Not only are there many goods, but there are also promotional programs to stimulate shopping.
“Two weeks ago, I saw many brands at the supermarket having attractive promotions and discounts, some items were discounted up to 50%. Today, the Tet goods have many new and eye-catching designs,” Ms. Loan said.
Going to the supermarket these days, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Diep (Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province) was quite surprised by the bustling shopping atmosphere here. According to Ms. Diep's observations, this year's goods are quite abundant, prices are stable and there are many discount programs.
Spend according to salary, prioritize saving
With little demand, Ms. Huong said that her family is currently only looking at prices of goods. When Tet is near, she will buy necessary goods for eating and playing during Tet, suitable for the family's economy.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Loan shared that this year, her family will spend according to their salary, prioritizing economical shopping. According to her plan, she will spend from 5 to 6 million VND for the upcoming Tet holiday.
“The shopping atmosphere is bustling but not as much as the days before Tet. Maybe people are waiting for their bonuses to balance and boldly spend. As for me, I plan to spend 5-6 million VND for Tet this year, in line with my income,” said Ms. Loan.
Due to the busy nature of her job, Ms. Diep started shopping for Tet in mid-December, mainly for cakes, jams, instant noodles, spices and clothes for her family. In the spirit of reasonable spending and prioritizing savings, Ms. Diep planned to spend about 10 million VND for Tet.
Accordingly, she will take advantage of the discount vouchers given before to shop for Tet. This will help her save on shopping costs and choose the goods she likes, avoiding the crowds near Tet.
