Need to recruit more than 8,000 workers
Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Production Human Resources Director of VinFast Production and Trading Joint Stock Company - Ha Tinh Branch - said that in the recruitment deployment at the end of January with a need to recruit 3,000 workers, so far only about 2,000 people have been recruited.
Along with the construction progress of the electric motorcycle factory that is about to be completed, expected to be put into operation in March 2026, the Company needs to recruit an additional 2,000 workers.
Recruitment positions include: general production workers; electrical maintenance workers; welding, painting, mechanical, electrical - electronics, electrical repair, car repair, lifting driving, operations; engineers; technicians; team leaders and specialists.
The recruitment targets are male and female workers aged 18-45, graduating from secondary school or higher depending on the position; some positions require college and university degrees in related technical majors.
Salary level from 12 million - 18 million VND/month for worker positions; positions of engineers, technicians, team leaders, specialists are agreed on salary according to capacity, with KPI bonuses, seniority bonuses.
Employees are fully insured according to regulations, are entitled to additional personal health insurance, annual periodic health checks; enjoy overtime benefits and allowances according to regulations. The company supports shuttle buses and arranges breaks for employees.

Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Co., Ltd. is also recruiting 500 workers with salaries ranging from 11 million VND - 16 million VND/person/month depending on the job position. However, up to this point, the recruitment results are still low.
According to the Ha Tinh Employment Service Center, in the first quarter of 2026, Ha Tinh has more than 100 businesses needing to recruit 8,276 workers. Of which, university degrees are 316 workers, intermediate and college degrees are 1,472 workers; general education degrees are 6,488 workers.
Some sectors recruited a large number of workers such as: garment recruited 2,810 workers; manufacturing and logistics recruited 4,440 workers; services, restaurants, hotels and other sectors recruited 1,026 workers.
Concerns about housing shortages for workers
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Production Human Resources Director of VinFast Production and Trading Joint Stock Company - Ha Tinh Branch, currently the Company has about 7,000 employees.
However, only more than 1,000 workers are rented houses by the Company in the housing area of Ha Tinh Mineral and Trading Corporation. The remaining, about 6,000 people, the Company is having to hire cars to take them to their accommodation or family homes every day.
“The demand for renting houses for our workers is still very large, but currently in Vung Ang Economic Zone, there is still a shortage of rental houses with a scale of 1,000 people or more. This is a difficult and headache-inducing problem for us,” Mr. Nam shared.
According to the Trade Union Committee of Ha Tinh Economic Zone, currently in Vung Ang Economic Zone, the demand for labor recruitment is very large but still difficult to recruit.
Among them, there are reasons due to lack of housing for workers, lack of essential services such as kindergartens, supermarkets, and entertainment areas for workers.
Therefore, in the coming time, it is hoped that those essential services will be invested and built to effectively attract workers to work here.
