On August 20, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province held a Conference on Promoting the consumption of labels and agricultural products in 2025 to promote, connect supply - demand and expand domestic and foreign consumption markets.
Currently, the whole province has about 5,800 hectares of longan trees, of which 15-20% of the area is specialty varieties such as longan sugar, longan longan... This year's harvest season lasts from July 15 to September 20 with 3 teas: ripe early (10%), main crop (50%) and ripe late (40%).
The expected output is more than 50,000 tons, an increase of about 15% compared to 2024, of which over 60% meets VietGAP and organic standards, meeting export requirements to the US, EU, Japan, China, etc.
In addition to longan, specialty agricultural products such as Ban soy sauce, Dong Tao chicken, longan honey... are also being consumed by the province through e-commerce, supermarket systems and clean food chain stores.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy emphasized that after merging with the old Thai Binh province, Hung Yen continues to promote the advantages of agricultural products, in which cage labels - products that have been regionally marked and are in the top 50 famous fruits in Vietnam - are the pride of the locality.
Mr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade assessed Hung Yen as a leading province in organizing a labor week, connecting supply and demand in many major cities, and at the same time suggested that the province continue to standardize production according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, diversify deep processing products, cooperate with e-commerce, logistics and develop green agricultural areas.
To continue to increase value, expand the market for consuming Hung Yen labels and agricultural products in the coming time, the Deputy Director of the Department of Trade Promotion also suggested and proposed a number of solutions such as strengthening brand building and promotion, standardizing production according to the VietGAP, GlobalGAP organic process; diversifying products and deep processing, expanding export markets as well as promoting cooperation with domestic and foreign e-commerce products, logistics, planning and building green, sustainable agricultural zones associated with products with traceability and authentication QR codes.
Mr. Hung also affirmed that the Trade Promotion Agency always accompanies and provides maximum support in consumer promotion, market expansion, and brand promotion for Hung Yen agricultural products.
At the conference, cooperatives, gardeners and enterprises signed a memorandum of cooperation on the consumption of labels and agricultural products; delegates visited booths displaying fresh labels and agricultural specialties of the province.
