According to statistics from Hung Yen province, from July 1, when the two-level government came into operation, state budget investment capital, FDI projects and new enterprises all grew strongly in the first 7 months of the year.
The estimated investment capital implemented in July reached VND3,159 billion, up 11.55% over the previous month and up 32.32% over the same period last year. Of which, provincial-level state budget capital is 1,835 billion VND, up 14.8% over the previous month; commune-level capital is 1,324 billion VND, up 7.34%. Accumulated in the first seven months of 2025, local budget investment capital reached VND17,324 billion, up 41.95% over the same period, of which provincial capital was VND9,702 billion, commune capital was VND7,622 billion.
Regarding foreign investment, as of July 29, the whole province had 896 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 16,179.23 million USD. In the first 7 months of the year, there were 89 new projects with a registered capital of 1,573.51 million USD. Japan leads with 189 projects, registered capital of 6,113.07 million USD; China has 333 projects, capital of 4,285.42 million USD; Korea has 204 projects, capital of 2,169.44 million USD.
Regarding business development, from June 22 to July 21, 475 newly registered enterprises with a capital of VND 7,178 billion, mainly in the fields of: processing industry - manufacturing, wholesale - retail, transportation and warehousing, real estate business and education - training. Accumulated from December 22 to July 21, the whole province had 3,027 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 46,161 billion. The retail, wholesale and processing - manufacturing industries account for a high proportion of newly established enterprises.
In the same period, 55 enterprises returned to operation, 26 enterprises were dissolved and 88 enterprises were temporarily suspended. Accumulated from December 22 to July 21, the whole province recorded 428 enterprises returning to operation, 251 dissolved enterprises and 1,209 temporarily suspended enterprises. The wholesale - retail and processing - manufacturing industries account for the highest proportion of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises.
