Steps to register a business household
Article 87 of Decree 01/2021/ND-CP guides how to register a business household as follows:
- Step 1: Prepare documents for business household registration.
- Step 2: Submit the business registration dossier to the Business Registration Agency.
- Step 3: When receiving the application, the Business Registration Agency shall issue a receipt and issue a Business Registration Certificate to the business household within 3 working days from the date of receipt of the application.
In case the application is invalid, within 03 working days from the date of receipt of the application, the District-level Business Registration Agency must notify in writing the dossier submitter or the founder of the business household. The notice must clearly state the reasons and requirements for amending and supplementing the dossier (if any).
If after 03 working days from the date of submitting the business household registration dossier but do not receive the Business Household Registration Certificate or do not receive a notice requesting amendments or supplements to the business household registration dossier, the founder of the business household or business household has the right to complain and denounce according to the provisions of law on complaints and denunciations.

Instructions for registering business households via electronic information networks
According to the provisions of Article 5e of Circular 01/2021/TT-BKHDT (Supplemented Clause 2, Article 1 of Circular 02/2023/TT-BKHDT), the registration of business households via the electronic information network is done as follows:
- Registering a business household via the electronic information network is the practice of the founder of a business household or business household carrying out the procedures for registering a business household according to the provisions of Decree No. 01/2021/ND-CP on the information system on business household registration under the National Information System on business registration through the National Information Portal on business registration.
- The person submitting the business registration dossier declares information, downloads electronic documents, and uses a digital signature to authenticate the business registration dossier according to the process on the business registration information system.
- The business registration agency returns the receipt of the application and the results of the business registration procedures to the dossier submitter via the electronic information network according to the process on the business registration information system.
